“The best way to predict the future is to create it.” – Alan Kay
A few weeks ago, I shared a message about our county’s contribution to the Road to One Million plan to increase the Northeast Indiana population by nearly 25% over the next ten-years. Kosciusko County is the last community to join the eleven-county region and has much to contribute to and benefit from success with the regional development plan.
The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership is asking whether we are doing enough as a region to reach our 2030 goals, which in addition to population growth also include significant increases in per capita income and in post-secondary credential attainment. I’m thankful to Brad Harris for representing our community at the Regional Opportunities Council. Please drop me a line to find out more about this important initiative.
Last week I mentioned an event we are launching called Outside the Fishbowl, which will be a place for people who have moved into our community to meet each other and share their perspectives (and questions) about living in Kosciusko County. Visit the link to find out ore. RSVP is requested.
One more thing, thank you to everyone who wrote to share some of your favorite things about Kosciusko County. Examples included mountain bike trails, unique dining options, healthy lakes, and community center, all which create special experiences for residents and visitors!
