“Pressure makes diamonds.” – George S. Patton
We often joke that our work feels like keeping so many plates spinning, but we also understand the importance of what we do to support business leaders who make decisions every day about jobs and investments that impact residents and communities.
Economic developers work with companies at every stage of business and sometimes that includes transitions such as restructuring, downsizing, or closing. Last week saw announcements about one company closing and another moving some production elsewhere.
In these situations, KEDCo and our economic development partners work with the same dedication to learn about our clients’ needs, identify the right tools in our economic development toolbox, and work quickly, confidentially, and at no cost to deliver solutions.
A testimonial from a few years ago comes to mind, which conveyed that just as you would call on your physician about a health issue, you can call on an economic developer about a business issue, without knowing beforehand what the real issue might be, let alone the resources available to solve it.
