“You have to pivot or perish, and not be scared to take chances.” – Greg Bandelin
This week we shared the news that I will be deploying overseas in the coming months. I also reached seven-years since receiving a commission as a Supply Corps officer in the US Navy and the US Navy celebrated its 245th birthday.
My rationale for seeking a commission was and remains threefold: to challenge myself by applying my skills in new ways, to seek out new skills and experiences, and to establish a tradition of service in our family.
What I never anticipated is working alongside incredibly hard-working, high-achieving people, the diversity of work opportunities that are available for reservists, and that I would be called to ‘go forward’ on a deployment to serve alongside active duty shipmates.
Our work at KEDCO will continue unabated during my absence. I will be involved behind the scenes, our amazing team will continue to lead our initiatives, and leaders Mark Becker and Suzie Light will provide additional leadership.
Fortunately, we are now in a season of growth and stability, in which we can use this time to sustain our initiatives, expand our partnerships, and increase our results. We continue to look for new partners to collaborate with and clients to serve. Please reach out anytime.
Thank you for your support, encouragement, and understanding!
