How has it already been a year since the Small Cities, Big Futures summit? And two years since our team came on board at KEDCO? Certain dates get fixed in your memory and for me September 16th and 17th are two examples.
No doubt I overestimated some of what I thought we would be able to accomplish during the last 1-2 years based on what I knew then, but what is more amazing is to reflect on some of the opportunities that have arisen and what our team has made of them.
One example is the recognition programs we launched this week: the Rising Leaders awards for young professionals in our community and the Business Impact awards for companies that are choosing to ‘go and grow’ in our area.
I have mentioned before how there are many ‘well kept secrets’ in K-County and that includes many of the emerging leaders who are building their careers here and the businesses that are building their bases here.
We created a link HERE to access the online nomination forms for both programs. Awardees will be recognized at the KEDCO annual meeting on Tuesday, October 27th. So help us identify the movers and shakers in our community and ‘save the date’ for our celebration event this fall!
