WARSAW, Ind. (August 30, 2022) – The Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation (KEDCO) today announced the addition of team members Terry Sweeney and Kayla Bailey in project management roles to sustain the organization’s countywide efforts.
Sweeney is serving in a full-time role as Project Director for the organization, managing a portfolio of economic development projects, and Bailey is serving in a part-time role as Project Coordinator to develop and implement customer service and project processes both internally and externally.
“We have dedicated nearly four years toward building our local economic development organization to ‘meet the moment’ of Kosciusko County,” said KEDCO CEO Alan Tio, “Adding Kayla and Terry in these project management roles ensures that we can realize the potential that exists to work alongside companies at every stage of business and to support communities throughout the county.”
Sweeney brings more than 25 years of downtown revitalization and economic development experience, most recently serving nearly 10 years as President & CEO of Downtown Lexington Partnership, and as Executive Director of the Corpus Christi Downtown Management District.
Sweeney also worked for Indianapolis Downtown Incorporated (IDI) for 18 years. For most of his IDI tenure, he served as Vice President of Real Estate Development, helping to usher in $8.5 billion in new projects, recruiting developers and businesses, and managing economic development partnerships.
Bailey is a graduate of Grace College and earned a master’s degree from Western Governors University. She served in a number of roles with Bowen Center for the past 11 years, including skills coaching, project management, and developing sustainable tools and resources for providers.
“We continue to build an exceptional team of leaders who can help us to implement our mission to convene, build, and show the community’s talent, ideas, and capital,” said Tio, “I appreciate the outside perspectives that Kayla and Terry bring to our organization and to our community that will help to propel us forward.”
