Hard to believe we are already in October and the final quarter of 2019. Of course, that means we still have 25% of the year ahead of us. With that in mind, what is the BIG thing you plan to complete yet this year? How can KEDCo help? We are now leading agribusiness, community development, entrepreneurship, medical device, and talent recruitment initiatives, and finding ways to support more than a dozen companies considering job creation and investment projects in our community. There is plenty of time left to make an impact in 2019… and we can help!
Something that has surprised our team at KEDCo in recent months is how often business and community leaders are unaware of how we can help and when to contact us. There are plenty of tools in the economic development toolbox and we encourage business leaders to reach out as early as possible as they are planning to plan, launch, or expand a business, or community leaders to call us as they consider how to develop new amenities or grow new initiatives.
Economic developers often serve as ‘dot connectors’ and ‘gap fillers,’ which often means matching businesses, buildings, and incentive tools. With that in mind, we are excited to partner with the Warsaw Community Development Corporation on an upcoming tour of six historic buildings in downtown Warsaw that are available for reuse. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 9th, with registration at 2:30pm, tours starting at 3pm, and a reception and guest speaker at 5:30pm. More details are available at the link HERE.
