“Hard work isn’t punishment. Hard work is the price of admission for the opportunity to reach excellence.” – Jay Bilas
I saw a post on social media last week about this being the start of second-half of 2020. It read, “The first half is behind us. Look forward. The best is yet to come.” What a great perspective to have as we keep moving forward after the long holiday weekend.
Much of the work we are involved in at KEDCO is just getting started, so we are focused on building community partnerships and working with business clients to address business needs and to realize growth opportunities.
You might see media coverage about midyear updates to town, city, and county boards and councils. We are highlighting examples from our entrepreneurship, housing, and talent initiatives that illustrate how we are implementing our new business model, such as:
- Development of a business incubation facility to provide a front-door for entrepreneurs in our community.
- Management of pre-development activities for workforce housing to support anchor employers.
- Partnerships with local employers to build a pipeline of out-of-market talent for employee recruitment.
We can’t say it enough, the best of what we can build with the ideas, talent, and capital available in our community is yet to come, and will only be realized with the involvement of leaders like you. Thank you for your contributions toward our economic development efforts!
