“Surround yourself with people who challenge you, teach you, and push you to be your best self.” – Bill Gates
We talk a lot about momentum and progress in our work at KEDCo and throughout Kosciusko County. Now we are in a stretch in which the buzz is building following a season of planning and preparation. Consider the following:
Last week, Grace College Ag Night brought together nearly 100 leaders to hear from Under Secretary of Agriculture Ted McKinney and highlight the central role of our community in the global agriculture economy.
We also joined the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership to welcome trade representatives from the Canadian Consulate in Detroit at our quarterly medical device roundtable to explore how to connect our orthopedic sector to the Canadian health innovation economy.
This week, we are restarting our monthly entrepreneur meetup under the leadership of three local entrepreneurs and hosting our first-ever high school hackathon focused on innovation in the agriculture sector.
We’re just getting started. Look for more more events focused growing our orthopedic and agribusiness sectors and launch of expanded services to encourage talent recruitment and entrepreneurship development in the coming weeks.
