“Ideas shape the course of history.” – John Maynard Keynes
One of our three strategic objectives is to convene area business builders and leaders. These interactions help us to identify how we can work with individual companies and across our community to direct our ideas, talent, and capital toward a prosperous future in Kosciusko County.
So here is our question to you: who is one person you know who might not yet have heard of our organization, participated in one of our events, or worked with one of our economic development partners? Will you please forward this week’s CEO Message to them? We thank you!
In the last 12 months, we have established four specific opportunities to bring people together on a regular basis:
- The CIRCUIT, our monthly meetup for local entrepreneurs (meeting this week – details below) now under the leadership of three area entrepreneurs;
- Agribusiness Roundtable, our quarterly meetup for agribusiness leaders, which met recently to welcome the co-founder & CEO of an exciting Canadian agtech firm to the area;
- Medical Device Roundtable, our quarterly meetup for medical device industry leaders that met in January to welcome representatives of the Canadian Consulate in Detroit to the area; and
- Executive Roundtable luncheon, our quarterly event to connect local business and community leaders with economic development thought leaders (save the date for our meeting on 3/31!).
In addition, we are hosting regional partners for regular office hours in Kosciusko County. Here are a few examples:
- Andie Hines-Lagemann, Regional Director of Entrepreneurship, Fortitude Fund (here on 2/26!)
- Dan Meek, Entrepreneur In Residence, Elevate Ventures (by appointment)
- Dave Behr, Regional Director, Indiana Economic Development Corporation (here on 2/27!)
You can email Andie, Dan, and Dave directly to setup appointments. Drop me a line to learn more about our events or to suggest other regional partners to host for office hours. Thank you for your ongoing collaboration with our team at KEDCo and we continue to look forward to the road ahead!
